I mainly work in the history of ethics, and mainly in late seventeenth-century and early eighteenth-century British ethics -- Hutcheson, Hume (the photo is from Ninewells, near the site where Hume's long-ago destroyed family home would have been), Mandeville, Smith, and Butler.
I also have a long-standing interest in Spinoza.
